A BRIEF HISTORY OF YOUR HOSTESS

 FAMILY NAME

 LEWIS

William Lewis (at the age of 12) and his wife Edith Leach (at age 10) came to Canada with there parents from Ireland in 1819, They came to this immediate area in the early 1850”s. Their son Henry Lewis drove stage coach from Guelph to Owen Sound, carrying passengers, mail and light freight.

The Lewis family has owned and operated many business’s in the immediate area,

The Lewis family is proud to be your host as you visit our tearoom and bed and breakfast,

We house the 6th, 7th and 8th generation of Lewis at the Tearoom.

We welcome you to our home town of Mount Forest.
